Any student registered for the Fall semester for at least 3 credits is eligible. Selection is based upon the application essay, academic experience, community involvement, and leadership qualities.
The application deadline is Monday, April 29.
Recipients will be notified by early May.
The York County Community College Foundation administers several scholarship programs for YCCC students. Working with the college Financial Aid Office, the Foundation has prepared a universal Scholarship Application form which will simplify the process for students and staff. Interested students will complete only one application form for all YCCC Foundation scholarships, and they will be considered for every scholarship for which they are eligible.
Straight A's is not a requirement for the Foundation's scholarships. Programs have different academic requirements, but students with 2.0 grade averages and greater generally will qualify for Foundation scholarships. Selection committees place greater emphasis on financial need and prospects for success than on prior academic performance.
The Foundation is accepting donations to these and other programs operated by the Foundation. For additional information, contact the Foundation Office at (207) 216 4465.
