YCCC FREE training programs are generously funded through a Harold Alfond Grant and the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan to provide customized workforce training grants to Maine residents, with delivery through YCCC and Maine’s other community colleges.

Remote Work Essentials for Professionals – Now Accepting Applications
Remote Work Essentials for Professionals training gives learners the tools to be effective, healthy, and productive remote and hybrid employees. This fully online course is self-paced and takes approximately 10 hours to complete. It covers the essential tools to maintain health and wellness, assess your readiness for remote employment, communication, teamwork and using remote tools such as video conferencing, Sharepoint, Slack, and other communication tools. Advanced Emergency Medical Technician
This training program is offered in partnership with Southern Maine Community College and is designed to give students, through lecture, laboratory, and clinical experiences, the knowledge, and skills needed to provide advanced emergency medical care and transportation for patients who access the emergency medical system. CDL-A Training
In partnership with Northern Maine Community College, York County Community College will be offering training for the Commercial Driver’s Class-A License. The Commercial Driving Academy is a State of Maine licensed tractor-trailer driving school. This course is designed to train you to become a professional truck driver. You will learn exactly what it takes to be a responsible driver and how to handle a tractor and trailer safely and efficiently. CNC Machining Academy
This all-expense paid 14-week accelerated program will provide you with the skills needed to enter a high-demand career as a CNC Machine Operator The CNC Machining Academy is broken down into two modules containing: Machine Shop Fundamentals, Blueprint Reading, and Principles of CNC. Students who successfully complete the program will receive their OSHA 10 Certification, HAAS Mill and Lathe Certification, and receive nine college credits upon matriculation to YCCC. CLICK HERE FMI

Emergency Medical Technician
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course prepares the student to enter the realm of emergency medical services (EMS). The EMT course is a necessity for personnel that wishes to work on an ambulance, but also benefits firefighters, police officers, industrial safety personnel, and other healthcare professions. The EMT course provides the student with the knowledge to provide basic life support (BLS) to patients in cardiac arrest, experiencing medical emergencies, and those with traumatic injuries. New Cook Bootcamp
The New Cook Bootcamp is a 4-day accelerated training that will get you ready for a fast-paced career as a line cook. The training includes ServSafe Food Handler Certification as well as an overview of essential skills you will need as you begin your career. Know the basics of kitchen safety in the handling of equipment and moving about the kitchen. Students will learn to: identify and execute the basic precision cuts; make a stock; prep vegetables for service; make a French omelet and other egg dishes; prepare the mother

Phlebotomist Certification Training
Phlebotomy Technician Certification training is a hybrid of online learning and in-person labs. Labs will also be available for students to improve their proficiency, allowing time for them to practice live sticks, as needed. Welding
This all-expense paid, 10-week accelerated training will provide you with 60-hours of training in preparation for the American Welding Society certification exam in select structural and pipe, to include: Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
