York County Community College (YCCC) is excited to announce the appointment of Tonianne Motta to the Nursing Faculty as a full-time member. Motta joins YCCC with an impressive background in nursing, education, and clinical practice, bringing invaluable experience to the college’s growing nursing program.
Motta is an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) dual board-certified nurse practitioner, with certifications in both family medicine and hospice and palliative care. She began her nursing career through an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program, where she gained her initial clinical experience on an inpatient oncology unit, earning a chemo-biotherapy certification. Motta later transitioned to roles in inpatient hospitalist and palliative medicine departments, where she expanded her expertise and deepened her commitment to patient care.
“We are delighted to welcome Tonianne to our team,” said Cait Grant, Vice President of Economic & Educational Development at YCCC. “Her rich background in both clinical practice and education, coupled with her passion for mentoring future nurses, aligns perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional nursing education. We are confident that she will make a significant impact on our students and the broader YCCC community.”
A lifelong learner, Motta holds several advanced degrees and certifications. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Sacred Heart University, and both a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education (Curriculum, Teaching, & Learning) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Sonoma State University. Her extensive educational background reflects her passion for both nursing and teaching, and she is dedicated to fostering the growth of future healthcare professionals.
